Working ag buildings go up on the farm ground, and shops and garages go up on the acreage tracts closer to town.
Dairy & livestock
Livestock barns, feed storage and working pens go under roof.
Hay & equipment
Hay barns and machine sheds go up across Grady County farm ground.
Acreage shops
Shops, garages and RV storage go up on the newer tracts around town.
Finished space
Steel truss takes drywall directly, so there’s no wood wall to build inside the steel.
We also work in tubular steel, cold-formed steel and red iron. See what a steel building costs.
Permitting metal buildings in Tuttle
Tuttle’s Community Development Department permits everything inside city limits, and its zoning code is specific about where an accessory building can sit.
Inside Tuttle
- All construction in city limits needs a building permit from Community Development.
- Applications go through the city’s online permit portal, which has a dedicated accessory building permit.
- General contractors register with the city, and trade work is done by city-registered licensed professionals.
On the lot
- Shop and barn buildings for single-family homes are exempt from the non-metal facade requirement.
- No accessory building can sit in an easement or past the face of the house toward the street.
- The house has to be under construction before an accessory building goes up.
Engineering
- Our generic engineering packages are wet-sealed.
- Occupied buildings are Risk Category II.
- Outside city limits, we confirm Grady County’s requirements for your parcel before drawings.
A metal shop is fine here. Tuttle limits metal on many buildings, but its code specifically exempts a shop or barn that’s accessory to a single-family home. Commercial buildings are a different conversation, so tell us how the building will be used.
We also serve Amber, Minco, Mustang, Chickasha and the farm ground between them. See the Oklahoma City metro or all of Oklahoma.
