Zephyrhills prohibits industrial-style metal buildings in residential districts.
Storage buildings
Buildings up to 15% of the house and 300 sq ft, and no taller than 16 feet or the house, go straight to a building permit.
Larger buildings
Buildings from 301 to 625 sq ft, or taller than 16 feet, need Planning Department review of height, design, setbacks and landscaping.
Materials
Accessory buildings over 150 sq ft in residential districts must be masonry, wood frame, aluminum or vinyl.
Engineering
Plans must be signed and sealed by a Florida engineer for 140 mph wind.
We work in tubular steel, cold-formed steel, steel truss and red iron. See what a steel building costs.

In Zephyrhills, metal needs a different look. Industrial-style metal buildings aren’t allowed in residential districts, and larger buildings need masonry, wood frame, aluminum or vinyl exteriors. We’ll talk through options that fit before anything is ordered.
