What people build around Lebanon
Wilson County mixes fast-growing neighborhoods along I-40 with cattle farms, hay ground and cedar glades across the rest of the county.
Farm buildings
Hay barns, cattle buildings and equipment storage serve the farms across the county.
Acreage shops
Tubular is hard to beat on an unfinished shop up to sixty feet wide.
Commercial & contractor
Contractor shops and storage buildings go up along the I-40 corridor. Past eighty feet, red iron takes over.
Finished space
Steel truss takes drywall directly, so there’s no wood wall to build inside the steel.
We also work in cold-formed steel. See what a steel building costs.
Permitting metal buildings in Lebanon and Wilson County
The city and the county each issue permits, and both collect the Adequate Facilities Tax.
Inside Lebanon
- A city building permit is good for 180 days from the date it’s issued.
- We time the permit to the delivery date so the clock doesn’t run out before the steel arrives.
Unincorporated Wilson County
- The county enforces the 2021 International Building Code.
- Only the property owner of record or a state-licensed contractor can apply for a permit.
- Small accessory buildings under 200 sq ft don’t need a building permit.
Ground & engineering
- Sinkholes are common here, and draining stormwater into one needs a state permit.
- Our generic engineering packages are wet-sealed, and occupied buildings are Risk Category II.
Count the tax before the steel. The Adequate Facilities Tax is collected at permit time in Wilson County, Lebanon and Mt. Juliet, and the amount depends on where you build. We confirm what applies to your address and include it in the numbers so it isn’t a surprise at the counter.
We also serve Mt. Juliet, Watertown, Gladeville, Norene and the farm ground between them. See the Nashville metro or all of Tennessee.
