50′ × 100′ Equipment and Hay Barn
An equipment and hay barn framed in tubular steel, with fourteen-foot walls and 5,000 square feet of open floor.
What the building had to do
Fifty by one hundred gives 5,000 square feet of floor with no posts across the fifty-foot width, under fourteen-foot walls, with two framed 12′ × 12′ openings for equipment. A 12′ × 100′ lean-to runs the full length of the building, adding 1,200 square feet of covered space outside the main walls.
Why tubular
Tubular steel has the lowest installed price of the frames we supply, and it spans up to sixty feet, so a fifty-foot-wide barn stays inside its range with the whole floor open for equipment and hay.
Tubular is quoted installed, so the kit and the crew come as one number.
Two ways to add a lean-to. This one runs the full hundred-foot length of the building. Our 60′ × 120′ agricultural shop takes a different approach, with a lean-to wrapped around the outside.
